ABOUT STEPHANIE

Stephanie is an artist, designer, CEO of The Parade Guys, and the founder of PlayfulSF. Her work centers around uplifting individuals and communities through joy, connection, and novelty. A seasoned creative producer with two decades of experience working in the event and social gathering spaces , Stephanie recently founded PlayfulSF, an initiative to bring opportunities for inclusive play to people of all ages throughout San Francisco.

The future of play for the young at heart

Welcome to 2036, a time in the not-too-distant future where decades of research around the benefits of play have finally become common knowledge, and San Francisco has become a national leader in a health-forward movement uplifting everyone in its wake. Currently, traditional playgrounds exist almost exclusively for children, while adults sit around the periphery. But in 2036, that has changed. This activation serves as a prototype for that world: a pop-up play space where people of every age can climb, create, interact, laugh, and connect, and then help shape the future of the movement by adding their own ideas to a collective vision board at the Creation Station.
