ABOUT KEVIN
Kevin is a service designer, researcher, musician, and trilingual community builder whose life and identity are, in his own words, a palimpsest that maps uniquely onto the cultural history of the Bay. Since arriving in San Francisco at the start of the pandemic, he has witnessed the city's quiet resurgence and the resilience of its artistic communities, with Asian American creative spaces playing a key role in his own development as a musician and artist. Rooted in a professional background centered on care as a design principle, Kevin brings a rare combination of skills to civic life: visual scribing, facilitation, and narrative design.

Creative Visioning and Contemplation
Kevin opens a portal into civic care at the Green Between — a lovingly reclaimed urban oasis in the Portola, also known as the Garden District. Participants will be invited to paint care stones and draw out care stories, generating artifacts that they can take with them or leave behind for the public. Through creative prompts, participants will be invited to imagine what care looks like for them— both giving and receiving, now and in the future. A mix of still and moving meditation will encourage participants to ground deeply in their bodies and in place. Finally, participants will be invited to contribute to the vision of the Green Between, depicting how public spaces such as this one will continue to care and be cared for into the future of San Francisco.
